During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, as the devastation intensified and casualties increased, people around the world sought help.

According to experts, it is an easy step to be aware of the conflict, to be careful about the messages spread on social networks. Misinformation is one of Russia's favorite weapons of war, and its accidental escalation could harm civilians.

Another easy step is to donate. Most of the major international aid organizations, including UNICEF, UNHCR, the ICRC, Médecins Sans Frontières, are currently working in Ukraine and neighboring countries, where more and more displaced people are fleeing.

He is also supported by a number of large-scale regional organizations in the United States, most of which provided assistance to IDPs prior to the outbreak of the conflict. Here are six people who have accepted donations online.

the voice of children:

Children's Voices is a Ukrainian aid organization that provides psychological support to children who witnessed the war. It uses art therapy, stories to support the well-being of children, and financial support to war-affected families.

Eastern SOS:

Vostok SOS, also based in Ukraine, has partnered with the German-Swiss Libereco NGO to provide immediate evacuation assistance to Ukrainians trying to flee their homes. Vostok has set up a hotline for needy Ukrainians and hopes to provide traumatic assistance to victims of the Russian invasion in the future.

Malta International:

Malta, a non-profit organization, collects "everyday" items for Ukrainians who have been forced to flee their homes. "Oliver Hochedes, head of emergency response at Malter International, said in a public statement: "Daily medicines are especially needed, such as cribs, blankets, food and cash for the victims."

United helps Ukraine:

United Help Ukraine is a US non-profit organization founded in 2014 after the annexation of Crimea. It is currently raising funds to send first aid kits and other humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The foundation has exceeded its $ 600,000 target but is still accepting donations.

New Ukraine:

Nova Ukraine, a US non-profit organization, works closely with Ukrainian organizations and currently collects supply packages that include diapers for children and adults, baby food, hospital supplies, and dry food for the Donetsk Orphanage.

peace flower:

Another nonprofit in the United States, Peace Sunflower, is raising funds to provide first aid kits for front-line medical workers and doctors. In 2014, the group also raised funds to provide first aid kits for medical professionals to help people fleeing the annexation of Crimea. "For [medical professionals] at the time, it meant the world, for them, it meant the world," fundraising coordinator Katya Malakhova wrote in a Facebook post. The foundation also exceeded its goal of $ 200,000, but the fundraising continues.
